Lecturers usually involved memorizing the textbook or the lecturer's notes down to the comma 😉 . The amount of material needed to learn before the exams was also not a positive thing. I remember when I was preparing notes for one of the exams where after shortening the lecture notes to only those materials marked by the lecturer as the most important the learning material from about pages was shortened to about . I will add that it was an exam involving typical memorization and the lecturer was extremely meticulous when checking. Not a great experience I don't recommend it.
I'm not even writing about the hours wasted studying for this exam. Did I mention that I had other courses to take this semester For more content on this topic please visit the YouTube Phone Number List channel of Krzysztof M. Maj who has much more to say about the problems of Polish education than I do. After listening to the linked material I come to the conclusion that it wasn't that bad. One might also point out that work is also a source of stress. I completely agree with this but it is not a topic I would like to explore in this article. Especially since my current job is not particularly stressful and my opinion will probably not contribute much. I also don't want to sound like lecturers like this are the norm. This would be a hurtful statement to say the least.
During my studies I met many lecturers who do their job very well and I have fond memories of the time spent in their classes. Many of them are passionate they know how to teach and most importantly they have a human approach to students. So should I study or not If I were to answer such a question to myself right after high school I would answer that as long as you can afford to study I think it's worth it. Even if you come across seemingly and inconspicuously unnecessary materials you will not leave the university empty handed. In addition connections access to companies and student status will certainly not hinder the start of your career.
